Grant Thornton: Junior Manager Advisory & Assurance

Position Summary:

Grant Thornton’s Advisory & Assurance practice creates tailor-made solutions delivered by innovative and knowledgeable professionals who bring technical depth and industry insight to our local and international clients. The provided services include IT Audit, IT Governance Assessment, IT (Cyber)Security, Risk Advisory Services, IT Forensic Advisory Services and Data Analytics, as well as general advisory services such as project management, strategy, enterprise risk management and performance improvement.

The Junior Manager Advisory & Assurance is responsible for planning, direction, and completion of information systems audits and general advisory engagements. This includes the execution and review of assignments, the development and supervision of assigned staff members and assisting in client management and related product/service development activities under supervision of the Advisory & Assurance partners.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Execute IT audit and operational audits, Revenue Assurance, Risk Management and general advisory assign- ments in the areas of project management, strategy and business planning as well as performance improve- ment.
  • Execute IT related and general advisory client engagements (amongst others SSAE 16/ISAE 3402 examinations and IT audits), under the supervision of the engagement partner.
  • Manage the day-to-day aspects of several advisory and assurance engagements, under the supervision of the engagement partner, including managing multiple work streams simultaneously and reprioritizing tasks when unanticipated issues arise. Supervise, train, and mentor assigned staff members.
  • Apply current knowledge of IT trends and systems processes to identify security and risk management issues, as well as other opportunities for overall process improvement.
  • Maintain professionalism and rapport with the client.
  • Proactively assist Grant Thornton Partners and senior management in the interaction with key client(s) to man-age expectations, Assist Grant Thornton Partners and senior management on proposals and business develop- ment opportunities and acquisitions.

Qualifications and requirements The candidate has:

  • A minimum Bachelor’s degree on academic level in Accounting, Information Technology or Business engineering.
  • Obtained a Postmaster degree in Register or Operational IT Auditor, CISA, CISM, CISO or is in an advancedstage of one of these Postmasters / Certifications.
  • A minimum of 5 years of related work experience in IT audit within a similar consulting or accounting practice.
  • Experience with frameworks including COBIT, COSO, ISO, Sarbanes-Oxley.
  • Knowledge of most common operating systems e.g. Windows, UNIX, AS400, Mainframe, Bank Mate, Signature,SAP, Oracle and Exact.
  • Experience with project management, strategy and business planning.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentationskills in Dutch and English. Proficiency in the Spanish language is a plus.
  • Ability to supervise staff members, lead multiple projects simultaneously and competing priorities in a rapidlygrowing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
  • Excellent computer software skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications and IDEA.
