Grant Thornton: BHRanding Specialist: a specialist in Marketing, Communication and HR

A hybrid professional who possesses combined Marketing & Communication knowledge and Human Resources experience and fits in our dynamic business environment.

Position Summary:

As a Marketing, Communication and HR Specialist you’re the point of contact on all brand guidelines, communication and HR related questions. You’ll be responsible for continually enhancing our brand image, implementing our communication and PR strategy as well as our HR strategy and policies.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Develop annual Marketing & Communication plan together with local Partners and Management Team.
  • Review content to ensure that all the Grant Thornton Aruba materials and promotions are in line withthe brand guidelines and reflect the highest level of professionalism in content and presentation.
  • Assist with business development activities, such as proposals, presentations, conferences and/orother thought leadership materials.
  • Develop Human Capital Strategy and policies and monitor the implementation thereof.
  • Provide management information regarding HR and formulate reports and recommendations forGrant Thornton Partners and Management Team.
  • Execute all activities regarding recruitment, selection, work and residence permits, training anddevelopment, performance management and personnel management(including up-to-date personnel files).
  • Advice all staff regarding HR aspects and individual personnel affairs.
  • Act as an advisor to the local Partners and Management Team by tracking local and internationaldevelopments on several areas and make them aware of the possible consequences ofprospective decisions.
  • Direct and assist local Partners, Management Team and staff with all external communication such aspress releases, speeches, presentations and newsletters.
  • Develop communication content and input for various channels such as website, e-mail marketing,social media and advertising.
  • Host, assist and coordinate local events such as seminars, workshops, corporate social responsibilityprograms and internal events.
  • Manage the day-to-day aspects of marketing, communication and HR related activities, includingmanaging multiple work streams simultaneously and reprioritizing tasks when unanticipated issues arise.
  • Proactively assist local Grant Thornton Partners and Management Team in the interaction with key client(s),relations and employees to manage expectations, help ensure client and employee satisfaction, resolveproblems and challenges, and make recommendations for business and process improvements.
  • Responsible for Customer Relationship Management.
  • Build and maintain professional relationship with local media.
  • Show flexibility and accept responsibility to make it happen and meet deadlines, if necessary,involve others in this.
  • Maintain contact with other Marketing & Communication and HR colleagues within the Dutch Caribbean.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements The candidate has:

  • A minimum Bachelor’s degree in Communication or Marketing, complemented with HR studies and/or education.
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in the field of Human Resources and Communications or marketing
  • Strong written and verbal proficiency in Dutch, Papiamento and English. Proficiency in the Spanish language is a plus.
  • Exceptional client service and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client and employees’ relationships.
  • Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and competing priorities in a rapidly growing, fast-paced, interactive, results-based team environment.
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills.
  • Excellent computer software skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applicationsand Adobe InDesign.
  • Knowledge of local (Aruban) labor law
